hope for love.....not mine but for the world...

Clouds at sunset

feeling bad....its been too long!

So one thing that I have now officially learned about myself, is that this is sooo not the theraputic venting release I thought it would be! Initially I had thought that being able to peacefully write about my issues to let tensions go would be a good thing....quite the contrary! It was making me think too hard about things, dwell on them, and then ultimately erase every thing that I had just typed.
Knowing this, we can obviously see that I have been going through some stressful stuff...DONE with it now though! ;)
I am finally feeling back to my old, significantly less drama filled self again. SWEET! So even though work has been all sorts of icky today, I have decided to take my later lunch and return to my typing practice. People are missing their appointments, being rude, and talking some smack, but you know what.........I'm feelin pretty good. I have decided that sometimes all you need to do is organize the chaos...so I am!
I got a plan for a ton of stuff. Got all the paperwork organized, copies made, and statements filed (no rental issue like last time from those poopholes...) I got a plan for the bridal body thing ( I am currently experiencing a phobia for trying on dresses. It sounds so lame, I know. I am just totally petrified that my fat ass will try on a dress and hate my thighs, when if i had just lost like 5 pounds that would have been the perfect dress!). The detox starts thursday or friday, not sure which yet.....  I also am attacking this fundraising gig for a work project. Screw it if they got the money all wrong before, I will just need to get my hustle on and get more!

In other news, we may be getting our engagement shots taken this weekend! YAY! Still looking for some good ideas for that though... hmmmmmmm
So there it is folks!
I am off to work work work then study study study!
I hope that everyone else is having a great week so far.....

************downer message, but only if you know who i am talking about.....***************
I am glad this month is finally over because it is always one of my worst! It seems like an eternity and only yesterday all at the same time....I haven't forgotten, and I would like to think that neither have any of the other important people. You are still missed, and still loved :)

FRIDAY FRIDAY!!!!!!!!

so firstly....I totally suck at keeping up! Sorry if you have actually been trying to do so! My bad...

Hmmmm, this week has honestly been, well, rather dull. So the good news is there has not been alot to miss. Last Sunday I got to be in the Battle of the Brides at the big bridal expo, that was pretty cool.... Oh, and I also finally was called a bride-zilla this morning (undeservedly I might add). Enough about wedding, every time I think about my guest list it makes me throw up in my mouth a little bit!

I cut off all my hair again, yep! No more Goldie locks over here! That does mean that I need to go and actually buy a new hairdryer though....hmmmm, any suggestions?

The carpet gets laid this weekend, FINALLY! YAY! So I am guessing that on which ever day that occurs I will be taking the Remmster to the doggy park. :) I heart that pupparoo! Speaking of dogs, my sister's boy friend did the cutest thing. He bought her a puppy!!! Named Moose. I can't wait for Remy to meet him (yeah, I realize that will never happen, but a girl can dream, right?) I do find it funny that her Japanese/Italian boyfriend got her an English spaniel in Italy. So her style! Love her, miss her!

The rents are jet setting out to the Dominican Republic for some R and R, LUCKY!!!!!! Hopefully they have a blast and bring back some awesome pics! The DR is one of our honeymoon options. :)

I have a new cactus! (3 dollars @ Publix), it is so cute! It needs a name....hmmmm, well do you see what my blog is currently reduced to? Clearly I have had a pretty lame week, so

Much love to all!
Have a safe and happy weekend.

LUnch Break BLogger is BACK!

So......not too much is going on today...
Last night was fun though! I FINALLY got to the gym...OMG I am so sore! I did an awesome legs and core workout...so awesome that walking is not my best means of transportation today! HAHA! Seriously though... Why is is that I can leave all of my energy at the gym (studies say you are supposed to have more energy if you work out!) but bring all of my fat rolls home with me! GEEEZE, operation bridal body is not doing so hot just yet. Soon though...I figure based on my records (yeah right) that my caloric intake being decreased should give me results ummm like never! :0) Ohhhhhwellllllll........
My current read in between studying has been Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Its actually pretty decent! I got it because my sister is SO into that book and the movie, but I just don't appreciate the romantics enough... I do enjoy that it is somewhat of a collaborative effort, as in there is a tone of the original authors content in there, and there are ,ya know, blood and guts and a strange sensation that or Dear Elizabeth would have been quite a contender on 28 days later. So, she (my sister) really like to entertain the thought of actually being a modern day Elizabeth and has been searching for her "Mr. Darcy" (she may have found him in Belgium). Now that I am seeing her in a new life, I myself can appreciate her...I already found my Mr. Darcy though... :0)
Wow, lots of   ...'s and ;0)'s today... there it is again!

Well, I think that will do for now. Hopefully looking forward to a fun filled weekend that will include finishing setting up the bathroom and possible hanging some pictures...
Much love all, Have a SAFE and FUN weekend!

Late lunch....rainy day....at least the lightening is entertaining!

so....busy weekend!
Here is the high-lite reel....
  • downstairs: still nasty....waiting for the carpet to be ripped out so we can move in the heavy stuff...therefore there is still a funky smell....
  • Sid's bowl: hung up. My lil beta friend is big pimpin above the wine rack
  • kitchen: no where near done....ugh
  • bedroom: startin to love it! My amazing fiance hung up my window treatments (I learned that labeling everything blinds just confuses everyone...) and now all we need to bring up is the silly TV cabinet thingie and we will be in business!
  • Masterbath: getting there. I was informed that we are to wait until other things get more settled before I really get to play with decorating kind of stuff...which is fine. I, as in all by myself, assemble an over the potty towel tower thing, towel rack that mounts on the wall, and this other cool thing ( I have no idea what to call it, it just rocks!) so minus bath mats and cute accents the bathroom actually is starting to look like a bathroom!!!
  • SO happy I finally got to meet up with a long lost friend and her beautiful little one! She is still one of the coolest people I know!
  • FABER FIGHT: OMG! I could write for days about that, but I will not bore everyone until they go bald. He should have won, though....he got cool points just for the broken hands from me!
  • Clubhouse stuff: should be getting that today.....

So there you have it! weekend recap. Not alot to report as of yet today, I love how calming this rain is, except for the fact that I can't just take a nap.... My heart goes out to all the families that need love and support right now. I encourage others to help where they can, you just never know....

Much love to everyone. I hope that you are having a wonderful Monday!

TGIF!!!!! AND a minor fish fiasco...

YAY!!!!!! It's finally friday! Been waiting for like a whole week..sheesh!

Hmmm, so obviously we see that I am ecstatic that the work week is over, and really am only performing exercises of tedium right now...well not right now, obviously in the next few minutes when my lunch break is over. Point being, its DEAD here! I am getting way to distracted by that obnoxious noise the AC makes...normally I don't even notice that! The only really exciting thing that happened to day was mother nature unleashing a bit of karma on a wiley raccoon. This poor little guy apparently decided that after dragging all sorts of nasty garbage in the courtyard, it would be a great idea to jump up on the roof of the building. He appeared to be having a jolly good time until he realized he couldn't get down, and then turned into a little punk! He started poking his foot over all cute like "maybe I jump, maybe I wait". Then when people started showing up to put soft things on the ground for him to jump onto (yeah, he wasn;t having anything to do with that though...) he started getting all snarky! Baring his chompers and hissing and stuff! Drove me nuts.... Long story short animal control was taking for ever and some lady was flipping out because she was one hundred percent sure that this was a rabid beast.... someone finally grew a brain cell and took a ladder over there. He scampered on down and off into the swamp. See ya!

Hmm lets see what else is good today. I am joining costco after work (yes us nerdy folk lead such exciting lives!), and I am getting the bed set up tonight. My goal is to fall in love with our bedroom by sunday.

THE FISH FIASCO!
SO I got in trouble for bringing home new fish when we knew we would be moving soon, at least that is how the story goes.  Neither here nor there, we totally got some bad information. our insanely low maintenance tropical tank actually became a nappy cesspool of fungus. We fought a good fight though...there were shock treatments and anti fungal dissolving pellets...readers digest version, we lost them all. All but one. Seus (we thought about changing his name to roach because he basically survived a nuclear holocaust) survived and then became a hassle this past week. FOr the move I basically drove with him in a pot in my lap (which would have been fine except that I also had a large dog sitting next to me trying to get the fish or the windshield wipers, not sure which.
So here seus has been eagerly awaiting the reconstruction of his former home. We decide that we want to wait until the house is set up, and then get some badass oscars. All good except they will eat Seus! He deserves his own home anyways so i get him one (which is this amazing wall mounted fish bowl that i am ridiculously excited about) and a friend as well. As I am screwing the wall mount in (which i managed to loose somewhere in the drywall) I hear this crash, boom, CLANG! I turn the corner and there is my WONDERFUL puppy covered in fish water (just like my tile floor) and she is playing wack the weasel with poor Seus! Obviously this didn't End well......Seuss worshipped the porcelin goddess for a final time last night around 715. RIP buddy. Sid is adapting well...he never knew his buddy to be... Seriously though I can't wait to get the big boys set up! YAY!
Hopefully this evenings festivities will include good friends, fun, and perhaps a good glass of vino! 100 means back to work! Love to all!

Sun Break....

Ha! I decided to work the system a bit today....other individuals who I will not name because I am not judging them get a couple of breaks everyday. You know what I am talking about folks...some people just NEED their "respiratory therapy". Well, thats fine, but where is mine? I think I totally deserve a couple of ten to fifteen minutes fresh air therapy...just because i am not addicted to nicotine does not mean that I don't want an excuse to get out of this office and step into the great outdoors! So i rationalized with my self that I may have a minor vitamin D deficency and a sunbreak was just what I needed. I timed it just right because the clouds have rolled on out! Yay!
I think it is so odd that my work place has yet another "controversial issue" that is getting air time on the local news...how annoying is that! We have all of these evil budget cuts (not sure where this whole evilness starts, but I am sure that as soon as someone finds it, it will be put to rest! GO GOOD GUYS!) and yet end up paying out the wazooo for all these settlements! Shhheeesh!
My day has been great so far.... I love how much shorter the drive is, not for Scott though. :(  his turn for the crap drive. Hopefully when we are playing real grownups and buy a house the drive will be equally appealing. hmmm, so not too much more to report! The house is still in boxes, we are waiting on some carpet stuff until we move the heavy stuff again, and OH! My fish! I am so excited aobut setting up the fish tank this weekend! We are going to do a whole different crowd this time... no more finicky little bala sharks that have fungus!! They will be gorgeous! Pics when I get them up!

Lessons learned.....

So....I AM MOVED!!!!! YAY! It has been very interesting so far, and NOTHING is really unpacked yet, but I love the new house. I have landscaping! I can't believe how adorable it is. Hopefully tonight I will get a good jump on things. Mostly  good things to report for the time being...
House:love it
Fiance:love him
Dog:love her
Job:Getting it done
Bunco:Tonight...stoked!

oh yeah, the negative would be that I have learned how annoying it can be to camp in doors...yes, you did read that correctly. We currently have no water...at least I took care of the electric ahead of time so we have light!
Alright everyone...its short and sweet today.....

If you judge people, you have no time to love them~ Mother Teresa

Mondays are not fun days.....

SO... lately I have done a pretty pathetic job of forcing my self to write things on here (i am guessing that is because nine times out of ten I am feeling like this is a forced exercise in typing and really don't want to be pigeon holed into a group of stereotypical bloggers....) but today i am renewing my desire to not only practice typing, but also to embrace the fact that in reality this could be a neat way of broadcasting my thoughts, feelings, all that boring creative crap. I do think this could be a great venue for my soapbox rants... and really...so WHAT? So what if I babble, so what if i have nothing to say...so what. If you are reading this there is a 50% chance that you are lame and a total loser, but there is also a 50% chance that you are rad and either care a lot about me and the things going on in my life that I am lame enough to write about. That is totally worth embracing, so yes thank you. I have officially accepted my "nerd" status.
So I will say that last night was pretty rough for me. I got really upset about some things that are so not for my blog life, and have been having lots of stress issues with the current moving situation... you would think that with my inate ability to jabber on about just about anything I would be a much more effective communicator, but apparently not so much. Everything keeps changing and I just can't keep up...I digress. Point is i was stressing, and upset, and not thinking on my most intellectual high point.  I decided that I desperately needed not one but 2 glasses of wine in less than an hour. If you know me, you know that definitely exceeds my capabilities...to make a long story short I fell asleep. That made me upset, because I wasn't able to finish the happening (I have been waiting for months to see that!!!!) I also ended up going to sleep before chatting with the 2 individuals that I clearly need to work on my communication with...hate going to sleep angry!
On to my exceptionally crummy morning... Karma found me! I wanted to have a very specific conversation with someone, that as soon as they chill out and listen to me about will either be the best thing ever or the suckiest situation you can imagine...obviously there is a lot involved in that, meaning I had a lot on my mind this morning. Enough that I didn't feel it all that important to watch where I was going. I am pretty sure my box labeled "miscellaneous bedroom crap" claimed my left pinkie toe nail. Then I left my phone at the house, not normally a big deal, but of course i have already needed to numbers in there. Here is the real Karma-Kicker though...I apparently left my lights on. I NEVER even drive with my lights on in the morning unless it rains or something (which it did not...) but I sure as shoot did today! Apparently the nice officer who normally gives me parking tickets tried to contact me to let me know this really early on. Only problem is he left that message on another departments voicemail so THEY didn't call me until after 950...yeah....car was so drained I thought the keyless remote was broken! HAHA..I Suck at life today!
Thanks be to adorable puppies who can make even the biggest sour puss smile!

Well, today is actually pretty busy, and if I have any more spare time today I am planning on studying for my levels test, so I am gonna get on that now. I hope that everyone else's Karma is where it should be! Much love and peace to all.
